We specialize in the development of restoration projects that yield diversified financial returns from a range of environmental assets. By generating multiple revenue streams, these projects also create multiple benefits for biodiversity and the local/regional community.
Good science is the foundation of The Earth Partners business. Inherent in our projects is the improvement of ecosystems and generation of verifiable environmental asset values. Our success rests on sound, scientific underpinnings of precise data, accurate analysis, a clear understanding of dynamic environmental processes and a thorough familiarity with pertinent regulations.
Beyond this, our decades of project experience help us satisfy client, stakeholder and regulatory goals by successfully delivering creative plans to complex problems. Then, on-the-ground (where it matters most), we apply our real-world experience to carefully implement the plan and monitor its progress to achieve the desired outcomes.
Specifically, The Earth Partners has led the development of dozens of wetland banking projects. We have also conducted hundreds of reforestation projects, and have averted damaging deforestation activity through creative methodologies and monitoring protocols. We submitted the first A/R methodology to the United Nations, and we co-developing the Mosaic REDD methodology.
Most recently, our Soil Carbon Quantification Methodology has been developed for widespread applicability across a broad range of global ecosystems and landscapes. We have developed a supporting database that captures historic soil carbon data from comprehensive literature reviews with project-specific data enabling us to build credible, science-based pro-forma models that accurately predict carbon accrual from prescribed restoration activities. The application of these rigorous models to site-specific activities enables us to deploy risk capital financing with a high degree of confidence in large-scale restoration projects.
